315/70 R22.5 Tyre Replacement on the Drive Axle of a Tractor Unit near the A49 in Stadtallendorf

On 28 June 2026, the driver of a tractor unit operated by a transport company from Kazakhstan contacted the MT onroad dispatch team because one of the 315/70 R22.5 tyres in the twin fitment on the right-hand side of the drive axle was damaged. Twin-fitment inspection and single replacement

At the location, the mechanic checked both wheels in the twin fitment on the right-hand side of the drive axle. Only one tyre was damaged. The adjacent one was in normal condition and did not require replacement.

The mechanic removed the damaged one and fitted one new 315/70 R22.5 tyre. After the work was completed, the driver confirmed to MT onroad that everything had gone well.

What to do if one tyre in a twin fitment is damaged

If your truck has a problem with one of the pair, make sure to check the condition of the other one before the mechanic is dispatched, provided this can be done safely. Send MT onroad photos of the pair, including the markings on both. The mechanic normally carries only the requested number of replacements. If a problem with the second one is only identified on site, an additional delivery or another call-out may be required.
