Truck tyre assistance around Munich and the A99

The A99 forms Munich’s motorway ring and connects the main motorway approaches to the city. If the truck is stopped on the A99 or another motorway around Munich, send the exact GPS position, motorway and direction of travel; add the nearest junction or exit if you know it.

For a high-risk motorway position, roadside work starts only when the required safety conditions are in place and the service partner confirms that work can be carried out there. Where needed, MT onroad can coordinate communication related to Absicherung, Polizei or Autobahnmeisterei. MT onroad does not close traffic lanes itself or guarantee authority action or arrival times.

Munich Airport is reached from Munich via the A92. For a tyre problem around the airport cargo or freight-forwarding area, at Großmarkt München or another loading site, send the exact location and any known gate, access or loading instructions; these details can affect how assistance is organised.

Spare wheel or damaged rim: when the service scope changes

MT onroad can coordinate tyre assistance for a truck, tractor unit, trailer or semi-trailer after a blowout or other tyre damage, including a spare-wheel change when the spare is suitable or a replacement tyre when there is no usable spare.

A carried spare should not be assumed to fit just because it is on the vehicle. If its size differs from the tyre actually fitted, or if the rim is also damaged, the required work may change after the service partner checks the vehicle. Send the actual fitted tyre size and, if safely available, a clear photo of the tyre marking or damage. The service partner confirms technical suitability on the vehicle.

What to send before dispatch

Please send:

  • exact GPS location;
  • motorway and direction of travel, plus the nearest junction or exit if known;
  • for an airport, wholesale or loading site, any known gate or access instructions;
  • vehicle type and licence plate;
  • short description of the tyre problem;
  • driver contact and, if different, the responsible company contact;
  • axle, side and the actual tyre size fitted to the vehicle;
  • rim condition and whether a spare wheel is available;
  • photos of the tyre marking or damage if needed and safely available.

Use the tyre size actually fitted to the vehicle rather than an assumed specification.

What happens after you send the data

What happens after you send the data

  1. We confirm the location and the tyre problem.
  2. We check the required roadside service with a suitable service partner and clarify any location constraints before dispatch.
  3. Price, payment and dispatch conditions are clarified before the service partner leaves.
  4. Once the price, payment and dispatch conditions are confirmed, we launch the case. When a suitable service partner confirms availability, we share the ETA and keep you updated through the roadside service or the next safe step.

Price, dispatch conditions and ETA

Price is confirmed after the required vehicle, tyre and location data have been checked. We confirm the price, payment and dispatch conditions before the service partner leaves; extra work requires approval. ETA is provided after partner confirmation and depends on the actual location, time, traffic, partner availability and safety conditions.

You can also request a truck tyre service quote.

A8 Munich–Salzburg corridor case: when the carried spare did not match

In a published MT onroad case on the A8 Munich–Salzburg corridor near Chiemsee, a semi-trailer had a damaged tyre on the third axle. The request started as a spare-wheel change, but the carried spare was 315/70 R22.5 while the fitted trailer tyre was 385/65 R22.5. The service partner’s on-site assessment also identified a damaged rim, so the required scope changed. The customer approved the supplementary quote before the additional work continued.

FAQ

Can you arrange truck tyre service on the A99 at night or on weekends?

MT onroad can be contacted 24/7. Send the exact GPS position, direction of travel and tyre data. We check partner availability for the specific location; when a suitable service partner confirms availability, we share the ETA.

What if I do not have the gate or access instructions for Munich Airport cargo or a loading site?

Send the exact GPS position and any access information you do have. MT onroad can use those details to check the service option; on-site workability remains subject to the actual location and the service partner’s assessment.

What if I cannot confirm whether the carried spare wheel matches the fitted tyre?

Send the actual fitted tyre size and, if safely readable, the spare-wheel size or a clear photo of its marking. Do not assume that the two wheels are interchangeable; the service partner confirms technical suitability on the vehicle.

What if the tyre problem also involves a damaged rim?

Tell us about any visible rim damage in the initial message and send a photo if safely available. The service partner confirms the condition on site. If the scope changes, additional work and cost are confirmed before the extra work starts.
